How is the Canadian Olympic Team doing?

Usain Bolt made quite a stir again, this time in Rio winning a gold medal in the men’s 100-meter race, but he wasn’t the only athlete creating buzz at the marquee event. Also making headlines is 21-year-old Canadian sprinter Andre De Grasse who came in third place winning the bronze on Sunday. De Grasse is the first Canadian male athlete to win a medal in Rio and he is also the first Canadian to win a medal in the event since 1996.The Canadian Olympic team is doing astonishing work this year, making the North proud. Heading the nation’s medal count is the Canada’s women team, making exponential wins are Penny Oleksiak, who’s won a gold in the 100-meter freestyle, a silver in the 100-meter butterfly, and two bronzes in the 4×100 freestyle relay and 4×200 freestyle relay in her first Olympic Games. Canada’s Allison Beveridge, Jasmin Glaesser, Kirsti Lay, and Georgia Simmerling won their bronze medals at the velodrome. These are the many wonderful Canadian’s Olympians who are winning titles in Rio. Canada’s men volleyball team had a wonderful win on Sunday, defeating Italy three to one gaining a quarterfinal spot. For Canadians to be proud. Seeing great work from the Canadian’s Olympians this year .
